Saints always laid stress on imbibing of compassion and kindness. Cruelty ia always destructive but kindness and compassion heal and bestow peace and happiness. Therefore, saints and devotees imbibe kindness, compassion and humility and not pride or ego. People with little intelligence, knowledge and wealth or performing religious rituals, feel so proud as to regard others as inferior. On the other hand the devotees, possessing so many virtues, regard themselves as the dust of the feet of holy beings and unwise, as Saint Kabir says: I am foolish, all are wise. Today, one does not tolerate another on the ground of religion, caste, culture, etc. Holy beings teach us to love and not bear hatred or jealousy for anyone. We should imbibe their teachings of love and humility. Human life is rare, while other things are created and destroyed and recreated, human life once goes is gone for ever. That is why holy beings give importance to Satsang or holy congregation.

We are not the passengers of the spaceship but we are the crew. The Earth has been called a spaceship because it is also in the space. It is not for someone else, governments or organizations to properly maintain the environment of the earth. It is the duty of every human because we are responsible for causing the pollution as we recklessly throw garbage in the lanes and houses we live in. Humans are responsible for creating the polluted environment. Who is deploying weapons and explosives? A dog does not hurl a bomb in a crowded market. A poet has said: Amongst animals, there are many species but among humans only one species i.e. human. The greatest boon is to be a human, but it is he who causes pollution in the environment. Hence everyone has a responsibility in this respect. The devotees are giving the message to everyone that he/she may realize his/her responsibility. He/she has been blessed with a life as invaluable as a diamond but he/she is wasting it away like a cowrie. Such foolishness or backwardness cannot be regarded as progress. A human has been gifted with better intelligence than birds and animals and still he does not understand this and will therefore be considered backward. What is meant is that saints and devotees wish that a human may awaken and realize the real purpose of human life. If he realizes this, he will be a boon for the earth.
