Believe In One God
Without realizing God it's not possible to believe in one God. As long as we did not know Him, it was not possible to believe in Him. Had we believe in one God, There would not have been divisions and separations, riots and massacres in the name of caste and creed. The basic reason is ignorance, and this is why we could not believe in one and be one. We insist on the unity of mankind and universal brotherhood and emphasize upon the importance of living together on this planet, but we are oblivious of the basic solution that can bring about this unity i.e. to connect with the source-God. That is why we don't see unity among men but instead see the walls of religion and regionalism, with an atmosphere of tension all around. Unity is missing because we still don't have the basics(God knowledge) to achieve that. Saints ask us to start working to address the root cause of the issue, because only that can lead to solution. Without tackling the basics, nothing worthwhile can be achieved. We need to take steps in the direction that will help us to realize and connect with the God. If we want to see a beautiful world and heaven on this earth we shall have to take appropriate steps without which this is not possible. We shall have to realize God and then unite with it. It will tie all human beings in a thread of unity where nobody shall be alien or stranger and there shall be no walls of disparity or bickering and fights over social status.
Know One, Believe In One
It is a fact that without this light of knowledge, man remains blind(ignorant) to truth and tramples upon diamonds(spiritual wealth), considering these as pebbles. That's the reason why he does not possess spiritual riches and remains poor. Therefore saints give messages to this effect that man must accomplish this all important task of realizing the truth. Worldly knowledge is commendable but the most rewarding is to know this eternal Truth. Although worldly knowledge in different fields is needed but knowing this Truth is imperative. Therefore, we say 'Know One, Believe in One'. Only when we know God, shall we be able to believe in it. There is only one God and the soul is a component of this one God. And God has no caste, religion, creed or culture. He is above all this and is unique. Only when we know one, we can believe in one. A slogan to this effect has also been given 'Ek ko jano ek ko mano' i.e. know one and believe in one.
