The one who takes a dip in a stream takes advantage of the water but the one who does not take a dip how can he take the advantage? Likewise, the one who ever identifies himself with God is benefited and not the one who does not. When it is hot, the one who takes a dip in the stream experiences coolness. But the one who simply sits on the bank of the stream complains of the heat. It is because the former takes advantage of the flowing water of the stream, while the latter sits on the bank. It is not less hot for the person who is bathing in the water and feeling cool. The difference is that one is in the water of stream and therefore experiences coolness but the other, who is sitting on the bank, is feeling hot. He has not entered the water of the stream and therefore neither he is experiencing coolness nor his body is washed of dirt. What matters is the contact/union. When the soul is united with God, it attains peace and is redeemed. Similarly, when the mind is united with God, it is purified and turns into a temple. If the mind is pure, it bathes as if in the Holy Ganges.

It is often said that human mind is a temple. A building in itself is not a temple. It turns into a temple only when an idol is installed in it. The mind will turn into a temple only when we install God in it. Then the mind will enjoy peace and bliss, and one will serve the humanity physically, mentally and materially. As already stated the difference lies in whether the mind imbibes humility or ego. May all wake up from the slumber, realizes their origin and imbibe fellow feeling and the spirit of brotherhood, equable vision and wish well of all, so that life may be worthwhile and a boon for the fellow humans. May all be blessed with the wisdom and strength to realize God and identify themselves with Him and keep company of the realized. When one identifies oneself with God, one is redeemed and learns the true art of living and sublimates one's here and hereafter.
