Value This Human Birth
There is a misconception that one can attain God by going to a certain places like a jungle. If visiting a jungle helped in attaining God, all those animals who live there, would have already got salvation. Then it would have been written in Ram Charit Manas-"Bade Bhag 'Sher' tann paawa" i.e. it is a blessing to be born in a jungle. Then the birth as a lion, bear or jackal is equally boon. There is a mention of the fish i.e. if bathing in water would help to attain God, then fish and frogs would have been blessed. If visiting a cremation ground and applying ashes on the body helps in the attainment of God and rids one of darkness of ignorance, the bats would have been really the blessed ones who dwell there. And that way, birth as a bat would have been considered a blessing. It has been explained to a man in so many ways to get it registered in his mind that he should not merely yearn for worldly achievements but must have a craving, curiosity and desire for God realization. Once man develops a desire for God, he must also understand the right way to attain God. But the approach that man is following, is rather increasing the burden of ignorance. Saint and devotees have always been giving this message so that every person gets sensitized towards this aspect and reaches the goal. Man should value this human birth which is precious like a diamond and make full use of this opportunity.
Discipline And Propriety Are Must In Service
Saints take sewa (selfless service) as a blessing and perform it with discipline and propriety. Surrendering to selfless service results in more and more joy. Therefore, saints always pray for more and more strength and capacity so as to be able to render services of body, mind and monetary kind with great spirit. Those who render sewa under the directions of True Master, give equal importance to all kind of services with spirit and full energy, they always get good results. Those who render service in such a manner, they experience joy and make a place for themselves in the hearts of others. It is not possible to render services without the spirit of devotion and sacrifice. One must always remember that we are fortunate ones that we have got an opportunity to offer our services at the Holy feet of True Master. Saints understand it very well that sewa becomes significant when it is done selflessly and without any desire. Sewa require pure and pious feelings. Saints perform selfless service humbly, considering everyone as their own. One must always remain alert so that we do not get distracted from sewa by any worldly attractions. And the saints have always presented themselves in such a manner through their actions. May Lord bless all with such an enthusiasm. We must render sewa with a spirit of humility and servitude and continue to march forward.
