Saints And Devotees Are Altruists
Saints and devotees are altruists. They wish that everyone may awaken and know the Truth. Taking falsehood for truth, the whole life is wasted. For the worldly people falsehood is the truth. In other words, for whole of their life they regards a piece of glass as a diamond i.e. they accept falsehood as truth. However, when they meet a jeweller, the jeweller blesses them with the right vision to know that they were regarding the glass as the diamond. Blessed with the vision by the jeweller, they come to know that it is glass. As long as the vision to determine that it was glass and not a diamond was not bestowed on them, the misconception persisted. In the same manner, people of the world ignorant of the reality and waste their life. Consequently, they gain nothing, not to speak of helping others. The devotees realise the Truth and also strive to bring about the awakening in the whole world. This is what is being done here.
Devotees Always Render Selfless Service
The devotees living in other countries are also enthusiastic. They are eager to know how they can render selfless service; they attend the holy congregation and are God-conscious. The children and youth imbibe these feelings though there is an impact of the foreign culture on them. This is an important aspect visible in those countries. But the youth who attend the holy congregation are inspired by Indian culture and follow it. In this manner, they are contributing to social services, arranging holy congregations and samagams and serving as Sewadal volunteers - male and female, young and old. There too the children’s congregations are held. They hold such congregations before the start of the main congregation in a separate room, on the conclusion of which they join the main congregation. In this manner the devotees are contributing to human well-being.
