All The Devotees Are Enlightened
We have just heard young devotees expressing their devotional thoughts impressively. If one thinks that the young ones are trying to teach the eldres, it is wrong. Not only today, even in the Sat Yuga ( Golden age) King Hiranyakashyapa nursed an illusion that the child devotee Prahlad was trying to teach him that Rama (God) pervades in the ocean as well as on the earth. Again, years back, someone asked: Why should eldres bow to young ones; it is alright to the young ones to bow to the elders and not visa versa. There upon, Rev J.R.D. Satyarthi ji said: In case, though innocent, you are challaned and the police officer or magistrate is half of your age and you fear that you will be sent behind the bars, will you not bow? In others word, if you are in need, you will bow without hesitation. What is meant is that when one is spiritually enlightened like young Prahlad, one can enlighten others as a lit lamp can light the unlit ones. Here there is no question of young or old; all the devotees are enlightened. Those who distinguish between young and old suffer from misconception. They are losers because human life, affording this opportunity, is rare.
A Devotee Gives To His Satguru The Highest Place
The devotees are dedicated to Truth whether they dwell in a cottage or a castle. They always remember the Satguru who has bestowed God-Knowledge upon them. Earlier they thought that God was confined to a particular place. However, by the grace of the Satguru they have realised the all-pervading and omnipresent God. On realising God, they dedicate themselves to the Satguru. Imbibing such devotion, a devotee gives to his Satguru the highest place in the life as Baba Avtar Singh ji did in his life on attaining God-Knowledge. The speaker devotees are explaining how a devotee is dedicated to his Satguru. The one, who attains the real understanding from the Satguru, imbibes love because the Satguru has connected him to God-the source of love. That is why, he wishes to love and glorify God. A devotee always prays that God may ever dwell in his heart and that he may not be seized by base impulses such as enmity, hatred and jealousy.
