Human Life Is Precious And Must Not Be Wasted
Saints say that in the ever increasing rat race, man must stop and ponder what is the aim of his life? Our birth as a human has been described as precious as diamond. Will we just limit ourselves to small worldly accomplishments thinking that we have fulfilled the purpose of life and call this life precious. Or have we ever thought beyond this? We must think beyond and not limit ourselves to [materiel] achievements. We are born in a human body and we have to undertake this life journey which has it own importance. But saints say that those who limit themselves to materialistic world and never ponder and take any steps in the right direction, they despite their worldly achievements, depart this world empty handed, exactly the way they came to this world. The real attainment [God-realization] that must go with us after death, actually never accompanies us because we never acquire it. If we acquire it during life time, only then can it accompany us here after. There is ample proof that nothing from this material world can go with us after life. This human life is precious and must not be wasted.
Live Life Imbibing Human Values
The Human being is so engrossed in materialistic world that he becomes irritated and stone hearted. We should perform our actions in such a way that we should get over our haughtiness. A wife goes to her husband and tells him that food was ready and served and he should come and eat it. The husband replied that he was reading a book and would eat after a while. After sometimes the wife again pleaded that the food was getting cold and he must eat it. The husband again asked for some more time as he was still reading the book. Third time, fourth time and when wife came pleading for the fifth time, the husband hit the wife on her head with the thick book he was reading and she started bleeding. When the wife picked up the book, she noticed the title of the book, ‘Tolerance’. Look at the irony that the husband was reading such a big volume on the theme of ‘tolerance’ and he himself was so intolerant that he hit his wife on her head with the same book. So whatever we hear or say has its own limitations but saints have said that it is important to live life imbibing those values. When we are attain this fedx perception, feeling and vision, our life shall become blissful and happy and our stature will go up. It is prayed that all are blessed with this kind of bliss in their lives.
