According to saying ‘Live and let live’, let us live together in this world. The devotees are giving this message to spread and strengthen fellowship and are following it. This is the message that is enshrined in the scriptures and given by the Holy Masters. They have put before us the both sides: light and darkness, humanism and demonism, elevation and degradation and their consequences. It is up to each of us to choose either. Here one needs the wisdom to choose. Man possesses worldly wisdom e.g. to earn money, how to succeed in the world, how to attain power. However, all do not possess the wisdom to make the right choice. This is why holy beings have clearly presented both the sides and their consequences. But, at the time of choosing, man does not choose the beneficial path but chooses the destructive one. For this reason, despite possessing worldly wisdom, man proves so foolish that he chooses hatred though the holy beings have repeatedly said: Love embellishes, while hatred mars. They say that the humble attain greatness but we opt for pride—pride for the body, mind wealth, position, learning, etc. Holy beings teach that one should not be so narrowing minded as not to tolerate anyone else. We live in narrow boundaries. We raise walls around us and suffocate within the same. We do not imbibe broad-mindedness to demolish those walls and breathe freely and let others do so.

Once a person standing near a well sees the reflection of the moon in the water and thinks that the moon has fallen in it and he tries to pull it out with a rope and in the process falls down on his back to behold the moon in the sky and thinks that he has saved the moon from drowning in the well. Again, a monkey picks up fish from the stream apparently to save them from drowning, not realizing that they can live only in water. What is meant is that wisdom is essential for man. Man is worldly wise but, at the same time, there are many instances to show his foolishness. Even in the 21st century, man is backward, spiritually. Holy beings wish that man may act with wisdom and wisdom can be attained in the company of saints. Besides worldly affairs, wisdom is essential for Liberation as also to learn the true art of living. This is the way to attain Liberation. If one is awakened towards one’s Liberation, one is awakened in the true sense, otherwise one is considered asleep even while waking; he is living corpse. Progress only from the worldly angle is backwardness from the spiritual angle. When one is spiritually awakened, only then one is redeemed and exudes peace and helps in establishing a heaven.
