Not To Forget God
There is a mind ever eager to attend the holy congregation, render selfless service and remember God, while another is engrossed in fulfilling worldly desires and making worldly achievements. Thus there is a big gap between the two. Holy beings teach that if the mind is identified with God, it turns noble, humble and sweet but if the link with God is snapped, it is different---turns perverse and causes harm. Holy beings, therefore, inspire man not to forget God. If the mind is linked with God and is God-conscious, it remains pure and pious. God is colorless and featureless and unaffected. If the mind identifies itself with God, it will also remain unaffected by the world. We take a bath with clean water, to cleanse the body. It is said: A fish always remains in water but its smell does not go away. In other words, though the fish remains in water, its smell is not washed off; it is always there. However, if the mind is focused on God, known by several different names, it is pure, blissfull, noble, humble, sweet, broad, patient and contented. It is so by the grace of God. If the mind is identify with God, it realizes that what is important is Truth, Nirankar, Love, Compassion, Kindness and Altruism. If the mind realizes this, one is praised and turns an altruist.
Saints And Devotees Always Save The Humanity
It is very easy to fell a person but very difficult to uplift a fallen one. We know how easy it is to demolish a building with the help of bulldozers or explosives in seconds but is a building built in seconds? No. Much hard work and toil is involved; many labourers and engineers work and huge amount of money is spent to raise a building. What is meant is that it is easy to demolish but difficult to build. A writer writes a book, working day and night for long, to create a masterpiece. Another person throws it in a furnace and it gets burnt up within seconds. In other words, it is easy to destroy but difficult to create. If a person walking on the bank of a river is pushed even by a child, he fells in the river but many persons are needed to rescue him from drowning. Felling someone is easy and saving the drowning one is difficult. Very similarly, it takes no time to cut a shirt into pieces but can the pieces be stitched together in such short time? No. So is the case with the families. Each member has/her own disposition, ego and interest which result in breaking up the family. How much labor is involved in reconciling them. At times, despite sincere efforts success is not achieved. Not homes, the society, the country, even the entire world is ridden with discord, alienation, strife, exploitation, etc. The evil doers indulge in evil which is quite easy. However, saints and devotees save the humanity for which they even stake their life. To this end, they make sacrifices and undergo sufferings. They are pained to see humans inviting their own doom and destruction.
