Love is the image of the Lord. Sadly, one hears only sounds of chaos at every place in the world. The songs of love are rare to be heard. A heart tends to be in love with the Lord whenever devotional songs expressing deep love for God are rendered. The real lovers of God are those whose hearts are full of love and harmony. Where there is ego, there can be no love. Therefore, never sport ego—ego of beauty, power, wealth, caste, etc. Just love the supreme creation of God the humans. The love for God is aroused only when we love fellow beings. Love brings people closer. No one can claim to be a God-lover, unless there is lover for His creation. That is why, true God lover becomes a boon for the earth as he contributes immensely in turning this earth into heaven. A pious and peaceful atmosphere can be established only when the heart is soaked in devotion and love.

We often say that there are so many religions, but what is the definition and function of true religion? Religion is supposed to bring man closer to man; supposed to be a unifying force. The Mission’s slogan for years has been: Religion unites, never divides. This is the true definition of religion; this is the true function of religion, and anything contrary to this does, in no way, fall in the definition of religion. Those who deviate from the path of compassion, indulge in cruelty, trample upon humans as if they are insects and worms, kill even innocent children in the arms of their mother, ironically, claim to be religious and men of faith. This is their definition of being religious. Contrary, saints and sages have defined religion as humanism and humanism consists of love, compassion and tolerance. Compassion means to relieve sufferings, to uplift the fallen and to cheer the weeping. This is the way to bring man closer to man. Yet people follow the wrong path. But the holy beings realized and preached that humanism is the true religion.
