Saints Always Give Importance To God
Keep giving your contribution to others till you are alive because once you are dead, no one will ask you for anything. The journey of life will come to an end. You will not live forever. Your name, fame, power and pelf will not last. You are giving importance to all those things which are impermanent. Raise your stature like that of eternal God. Often we raise slogans, ‘Eternal be your name’ but only that person attains eternity who gives importance to the Eternal (God) and not to the momentary, destructible and transient world. I should give priority to that which has importance in my life. Saints give a message so that this kind of awareness in our life. Saints do not want us to be in mad race, confining ourselves to material gains only that we confine ourselves to selfish work and reap worldly benefits only. There is a line in English i.e. It is nice to be important but it is more important to be nice. Just being important is not worthy, being good definitely is. Through goodness one has to make oneself important. Are saints not great and famous and successful? Have saints got eminence because of any ruler ship, physical strength, worldly knowledge, wealth or physically beauty? No, it is their goodness and beauty of their character which gave them high stature. This saintly stature is not achieved by the moneyed and the educated in the worldly sense. Saints give importance to God. They do not say no to worldly achievements. Instead they are for attaining both God and material assets to move forward in life.
Saints Always Look Up To Others As Superiors To Them
Men with negative mind set and full of materialistic tendencies, prove themselves to be special/superior by running down others. They consider themselves great in terms of caste and creed etc. and treat others as inferior and try their level best to prove the same. They are only equipped with hatred and ego. When we consider ourselves as superior to others, we not only nurture hatred but are full of pride and ego. I have often given an example of a couple travelling in a car. The wife told her husband who was driving the car that he should look around to see his relatives on the road. When the husband looked around, he noticed that his wife was pointing to donkeys, pigs, and goats. Without losing any time, the husband retorted,” Had you not pointed, I have missed these relatives from my in-laws side. So, both were busy humiliating each other. These are worldly attributes that people remain busy in humiliating each other. But saints always look up to others as superiors to them. Saint Kabir says that everybody besides him is superior. He said he was imperfect while others had virtues. People with such a thought have a high stature. It is wished that everybody attains such heights in life.
