Seeking The Good In Everyone

If we are to
give, give kindness rather than building walls of hatred that prevent
others from coming close, simply because we dislike them. Everyone
becomes likeable when our perspective shifts to finding the good in
them. Therefore, we must focus on refining our outlook and harbouring
the Divine in our hearts, without overly concerning ourselves with
others' lifestyles or behaviours. When each individual focuses on
self-improvement, collective betterment follows naturally.
Self Respect But No Arrogance

Some school
children were called for training at five in the morning. It was decided
that they would all go to watch a movie at night, have dinner, and have
fun. They slept late at night, so except for one child, no one turned up
for the morning training in time. When the coach asked why others didn't
turn up, the child who had come replied that they are not worthy only of
your training; they do not value your time. Do not train them. The coach
retorted, explaining to the child, "You're talking ill about everyone
and are criticizing others so much, it would have been better if you
also wouldn't have shown up in time. You would have saved yourself from
this arrogance." The underlying sentiment is to maintain self-respect
without arrogance.
