London Bal Samagam
On Sunday 19th May 2013, there was a Regional Bal Samagam held at London Bhawan. Young devotees and their families travelled from towns around London to attend and share thoughts. The topic was ‘Learning’ – how a child learns from his surroundings (both negatives and positives) and when a child gets the company of saints in spiritual learning, it has a very positive impact on the child. The children emphasised the importance of the right path being shown by Satguru Baba Ji to enhance our lives, and this was shown in songs, speeches, poems, dances, drama skits, and artwork. There were also video presentations prepared by youth saints. The Bal Samagam was filled with wise thoughts shared by young children in Hindi, Punjabi and English. Being born and brought up in England and yet being able to communicate in Hindi and Punjabi is a clear indication of the learning that the children are receiving from sangat, along with lessons in spirituality. The Samagam was presided over by Sister Aashrita Chawla Ji from Erith with the stage conducted by Prerna Batra Ji and Pragun Ji. There was also a group of talented young musicians including Sanchit Aapan Ji and Shivam Popli Ji on harmonium, Sidhant Arora Ji on harmonium and keyboard, Samarpit GindhaJii on tabla and Sam Walia Ji on Guitar. It was a fantastic learning journey not only for Bal Sangat devotees but for their parents and the entire sadh sangat who were being inspired by the innocent level of bhakti of the young saints.
